The purpose of the developing the Z-GEWEIs is the mainstreaming of gender statistics in Zanzibar and facilitates reporting on the Zanzibar Strategy for Growth and Reduction of Poverty (ZSGRP or MKUZA), Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and other international commitments such as CEDAW and BPfA also to identify how SDGs gender indicators related to MKUZA III.
