MONTHLY TRANSPORT STATISTICAL RELEASE, FEBRUARY 2026

Total trips of vessels (Enter and Exit) in February 2026 reached 1,561 which decreased by seven (7.0) percent compared with the corresponding month of the previous year 2025 and decreased by less than one percent (0.8) compared with the previous month of January, 2026. The decline was mainly driven by local vessel, which recorded decrease of 27.2 percent compared with February 2025 and decrease of 12.5 percent compared with January 2026.   

The total of 54 percent calls/trips were made by foreign vessels, 572 calls by local vessel and 935 calls by dhow. Foreign vessel trips increased by more than one hundred percent (145.5) compared with the corresponding month of the previous year 2025 and increased by 10.2 percent compared with the previous month in January 2026. Their registered tonnage (GRT) increased by more than one hundred percent compared with the corresponding month of the previous year February 2025 and the previous month in January 2026.
