ZANZIBAR CONSUMER PRICE INDEX, APRIL2026

The Inflation as measured by the Consumer Price Index for Zanzibar for the 12 months to April
2026 increased to 5.02 percent from 4.25 percent registered in April 2025 while in March 2026
registered 4.93 percent. Food and Non-Alcoholic Beverages inflation rate increased to 9.92
percent in April 2026 compared to 4.72 percent in April 2025, while March 2026 registered 9.91
percent. The overall Index increased to 121.99 in April 2026 compared to 116.16 recorded in
April 2025, while March 2026 registered 120.65
