ZANZIBAR CONSUMER PRICE INDEX, AUGUST 2026

The Inflation as measured by the Consumer Price Index for Zanzibar for the 12 months to August
2026 increased to 5.57 percent from 3.88 percent registered in August 2025 while in July 2026
registered 5.96 percent. Food and Non-Alcoholic Beverages inflation rate increased to 9.62
percent in August 2026 compared to 4.76 percent in August 2025, while July 2026 registered
10.91 percent. The overall Index increased to 123.52 in August 2026 compared to 117.01
recorded in August 2025
